Icestar was impressed at the apprentice's fishing skills. She turned her head back to the river, watching for a fish. The river seemed to stay at a crack-still, not a fish in sight. She relaxed her mucles for less then a heartbeat when a splash drove her attention to further upstream. She stared lkong and hard at the fish, but watched it swim far out of her reach. "Mousedung!" she hissed under her breath, searching for another fish. This is acually quite fun! she thought to herself. As she waited, she watched her apprentice, seeing if he would catch another fish.

Eaglepaw looked at the river waiting for another fish to swim by. He stood still and continued to wait. Finelly after what felt like several minutes he saw a dark shadow swimming towards Icestar. He quietly pointed it out for Icestar to get.

Icestar noted a small movement in Eaglepaw. She twitched her tail impatently when she saw what he was looking at--the mirror image of a fish. She wated a heartbeat, then reached her paw out over the water. Hoisting it in midair, then fish swam quickly under it. A swift movement by Icestar shot the fish up and out of the water. It landed right beside Eaglepaw's paw, and Icestar franticly mewed for him to catch it.

Eaglepaw watched as the fish flopped down next to him. With a blink of his eye he had killed the fish with a quick bite. "Good catch. That's four fish a mouse and a vole. That's pretty good catch. How are we going to carry it all back?"

Icetstar nodded her thanks, then thought for a moment. "How about I carry the fish, and you get the mouse and vole?" she suggested, ready to take the bigger load since the apprentice was still small.
OOC - Sorry, no muse.

Eaglepaw nodded and ran over to where he had barried the mouse and vole and dug them up. He grabbed them and shook all the dirt off. They where still a little warm but not by much. "Dis is do cool! We gob do much bood." What he had meant to say was This is so cool. We have so much food.

Icestar nodded, and picked the silver fish up by their tail. Struggling to keep them from dragging, she pulled 'em away from the bank and into the forest. "Wes. We would wast weafware," she mewed, meaning "Yes. We should last leafbare," but having her mouth filled up with slimey fish made it difficult.

Eaglepaw purred proudly as they headed back to camp. They would have enough food to last them all leafbare thanks to there leaders great idea of fishing. As the aproached camp entrance he ran on ahead, He tossed the pray on the freshkill pile and waited for icestar.

Icestar was a coupel foxlengths behind, the fish dragging her down. She wondered how RiverClanners managed that every time as she lay them down on the pile. Witha sigh, she put her head on her paws. "Okay," she mewed, thinking. "Should we go and try again?" she aked Eaglepaw. Maybe, if they got enough, they could make the Clan as well-fed as in Greenleaf--even though fish tasted worse then crowfood!

Eaglepaw's stomach growled. He wanted to fish again but he also wanted to eat. But he knew the rule that you must feed the clan before themselves. He couldn't believe how much he had changed. When he first became a apprentice he would have eaten and not cared if the clan has eaten yet or not. But now he did care he didn't know why but he did. "Ok let's go."

Icestar flicked her tail at one of the nearby Warriors, signaling to the fish. Without waiting for his reply, she padded out fo camp. She ran swiftly through the trees, but sower then her usual run so the apprentice could catch up. She was halfway through when she scented something. She stopped, paw hoised midair. She scented the air again. No, she thought. Icestar eyed around mysteriously, making sure the apprentice culd nto see what she was hiding. It only lasted a heartbeat, and then she was racing through the trees again.

({What's going on?})
Eaglepaw raced after Icestar. Just as he was about to catch up the scent got stronger like Icestar had stopped. He stoped as well and sniffed at the air to see if her could tell why. Eaglepaw's ears perked up, he scented something but he couldn't tell what exactly. Up ahead he heard Icestar bolt into an all out run and raced after her always staying behind hopping to find out what was going on.

OOC - It is a mystery. Half of Icestar's past is unknown, and this is connected...
IC - Icestar stopped abruptly, reaching the bank. She stared into the deep blue water, and peered over the edge. She saw her reflection, a pure white she-cat staring back at her. The blue eyes seemed to not blink, and suddenly it got swallowed as a fish from further down the bank made a splash. Icestar stared as her mirrior image was ruined by crippling water, and then she sighed. Remembering the apprentice was with her, Icestar got up and looked around for him.

Eaglepaw padded up to Icestar "Icestar I don't know if we should fish any more. I smelled something back there but I don't know what it was. There could be something dangerous out there." Eaglepaw looked down at his own reflection and sighed. What was she hidding. He knew she was hidding something but he didn't know what.
