Kiba padded after Midnight. As they padded along he spotted a squirrel a few feet away. Quickly he lunged at it as it ran along the ground. Kiba raced after it. Just as it was about to climb a tree he clamped his claw down on it's tail stopping it than giving the death blow to the neck. Kiba picked it up and caried it back to his sister. "When we get to where were going you can eat this."
Star watched her brother kill the squirrel. She was proud to have such a great brother. She just wished her mate had stuck around. "Thank you Kiba it looks great."

Midnight was leading, but paused when she saw the cat race after the squirrel. "Nice catch," she commented. The she-cat continued to pad on, towards the Freezing Pond. "We are almist there!" she mewed excitedly, happy to lead these new cats to a new home. She hoped they would fit in well here.

Kiba padded after her with the squirrel's tail dragging on the ground. As they aproached he could smell water even over the squirrel telling him there was allot of water. A few minutes later he spotted the water and ran ahead. The lake was perfect and there was a river leading into it which they could also fish from. Kiba set the squirrel down and lapped up some wonder. "It taste great so where is this den Midnight?"
Star padded up to the pond and lapped up some water than shook her head. "Nice and threash this would be a perfect place to raise my kits."

Midnight thought for a moment. "I acually forget where then den was," she mewed honestly. She peered around the place, hoping to spot something that might give away a den. "You could always make your own," she suggested carefuly. She knew the tom, Kiba, would need some help making then den, but Star was too round with her kits to be much use. Midnight knew she had got to help them. She wated to see if Kiba would answer.

Kiba nodded "That's ok we can try and find a place with lots of shelter that will keep us warm in leafbare to make into a den. If we can't find a place will make one. Star stay here and eat the squirrel. Midnight me and you will go and check the place out to find a place to make a den and maybe I'll set some markers to set this area as our territory. Kiba turned and started to pad along the lake.
Star nodded and laid down. She was glad to lay down she was tired. She quickly took a bite of the squirrel purring softly. "Yummy."

Midnight followed Kiba. "So," she mewed casualy, hunting with her eyes for a warm place, "Who's kit's are Star's?" As she eyes around, she spotted nothing that looked useful for shelter. Sighing, she turned to face the tom. She saw that he padded along nicely, and that was a nice thing. She turned her attention back to him and wated for his answer.

Kiba padded along quietly looking around. He spotted a stump several tails from the pond that might make a good border marker after they had explored more. "Sadly I don't know. We where seperated for a moon when we where rejoined she was pregnant and she won't tell me who the father is. She was really depressed for a while she just started to get back to normal about a half a moon ago." As they continued to walk he spotted A large rock. he walked up to it and smelled badger but it was really old probably a moon old. "This might work but it would need allot of work before it's perfect."

Midnight listened intently, then paused when he pointed the rock out. "Yes," she mewed, thinking. She pointed her tail towards another rock a few tail-lengths away. "We could take something and attatch both the boulders together," she sugegsted. "Then at the side, but leave a little hole. Ta-da--a den." She knew she could think of better, but her mind was on Kiba's words. She wondered who was the father, and if she knew him...

({Actually I plan on seeing if I can have someone play the mate later on and have him reapear. I am still working on the mini plot though. And sorry for the modification I was changing the color.})
Kibba nodded in agreement. We could have the nursing den and than next to it we could have an even bigger den for me so I don't have to disturb my sister when I come in and out to patrol our borders when I set them and go hunting. Now if we could just find a way to drag the boulder over." Kiba walked to the rock and looked around. He spotted a thick vine and grabbed it. He went about tying it around the rock. "Help me pull this will you Midnight?" Kiba was starting to like Midnight more and more and was thinking of asking her to stay with them.
Star finished the squirrel bones and all. With leafbare getting closer you couldn't waist even the bones. Slowly she stood up and looked out over the pond. She walked to the edge and saw some small silver fish swimming around. She was still hungry even after the squirrel. She waited silently while she waited for the fish. After a few minutes her paw flashed out and grabbed the fish. Starbraught it out and pressed down to bite and kill it. She continued to catch them until she had a small pile of five fish. They where of good size. When her brother and Midnight got back they would have something to eat.

Midnight was glad Kiba aggreed on the idea. She had thought it sounded nice and cozy, although a bit hard to set up. She grabbed part of the vine in her mouth. "Wedy," she mewed, meaning "ready" but it was muffled by the vine in her mouth. She tugged hard at the rock, hoping to see it move. After a giant tug, it moved a little tiny bit. She sighed, and tried again. Out of the corner of her eye she aw Star starting to fish in the pong. It is good they know how to fish, she thought to herself as she continued to tug.

Kiba tugged as hard as possible. Little by little the rock began to move closer to there destination. Finely after several long minutes they reached there destination. Kiba let go of the vine and panted. "We did it awesome. Now for the easy part digging out the dens. Um Midnight I was wondering. Would you be interested in staying here with us?"
Star took one of the smaller fish's and began to eat it. Feeding for the kits she seemed to always be hungry. But finely after the fish she felt pleasantly full.

Midnight pulled as hard as she could, wasting all her energy. She was happy and reliefed when the rock finally settled where they wanted it to. With a sigh, she lay down with her head on her paws, exhausted. At Kiba's question, Midnight was surprised and a taken-aback look appeared on her face, but it wiped away when she registered what Kiba had said. "M-me?" Midnight asked, trying to act cool but it was not working. She avoided Kiba's eye.

Kiba started to dig a tunnel under the rock but stopped and looked up as he heard Midnight's reply. "Yea there's safety in numbers and if we stick together we can help each other out through leafbare and any up coming problems like a Badger or Fox attack. So what do you say will you stick around and join us?"
Star picked up the fish and padded up to her brother and Midnight and set them down. "Here you guys should take a break and have a bite to eat."

Midnight was surprised at the offer, and took a moment to bring it all in. As soon as she did, Star came up. The she-cat nodded her thanks, mind not on the food but on the offer. She took a quick bite of a fish, then lay down. Her mind was whirrling. If she said yes, she would have a responcibility--to care for her friends and protect her home. But if she did, she would not be a loner, a wandering cat, anymore. She took another bite, still thinking.

Star curled up and began to groom her fur. "You guys have done a wonderful job so far. I can't wait for my kits to come so they can see this wonderful place."
Kiba nodded to his sister but waited for Midnight's reply. He really wanted her to stay but there was no way he could tell her that out right. Not hungry yet her turned and began to dig again. He wanted to make this a great home for them and it would take allot of work. But they could do it if they worked together.
