Icestar sighed. She lay down in her den on a pile of moss. The cats in her Clan had dropped down abruptly to the all-time lowest number--less then ten. She put her head on her paws and eyed around. Where did everyone go? she thought to herself. She had only recently been made leader, growing from the excited and hoppity Iceheart to the wise and youthful Icestar. Is it me? she thought sourly. Am I the reasonw hy there are not much cats? Are they dying or running away because of me?

Dreamleaf padded her way through the deserted camp towards icestar. She dipped her head respectfully and sat down beside her. She looked around the camp to see there really was no cats here, the few that were still a part of thunderclan were out hunting. Dreamleaf had nothing to do in the medicine cat den there were no cats to tend to and she was already stocked up on all the things she needed. |

Icestar watched Dreamleaf pad up to her. "Hello, Dreamleaf. Are the herbs growing well?" she asked politely. Icetsar had decided not to show that she was thinking about if it was her fault, but she needed to confind in somebody and the medicine cat seemed like the perfect choice. "Have you noticed that we are running low on cats?" she meweed thoughtfuly.

Dreamleaf nodded to both of the questions. "Yes I have noticed that theres not very many cats around here."Dreamleaf hadn't been able to tend to many cats and this bothered her she wanted to be able to do her job for her clan, but there was not much clan left. |

Icestar stood up. "You know what?" she asked questionly. She eyed around camp, and nodded. "Yes, that is it. I must go to the Moonstone to speak with StarClan." She did not need to explain why, it was already said, and anyways, the medicine cat should have guessed it by now.

Dreamleaf nodded. "I think thats a good idea would you like me to come with you?"She asked. She hoped that starclan would have the awnser to why all of this was happining. |

Icestar nodded. She would need to call a Clan meeting when everyone was in the Clan. She looked around and only noticed one or two cats around, one in the Warrior's den and another in the Elder's. She turned back to Dreamleaf. "We should leave soon. Just not yet, not until all the patrols are here. We must also choose a apprentice to go with us since they must before becomign a Warrior," she mewed.

Dreamleaf nodded, she began grooming herself patting down all the hairs that were ruffled up. The air was chilly today but it wasn't as cold as it would be in leafbare. She thought about all the kits and elders and even strong warriors that would dry from greencough and just plain hunger. The fresh kill pile was already getting a little bit low this just made dreamleaf even more worried. She shook her head trying to get those horrible thoughts out, she was going to moonstone with Icestar as soon as possible but was that a good thing? |

Icestar watched her medicine cat groom. My Clan is worth it, she thought to herself. She stood up, stretched, then sat down againa nd licked a paw. She brought that paw over her right ear, then licked it and did her left ear. Her tail twitched as she started to groom her chest. Anxiously she waited for the patrols to return so she could call a Clan meeting. But before that, she needed to simply decide what apprentice to choose! Her thoughts were going crazy as she stared around camp.

Dreamleaf was going wild with thoughts. What if starclan was silent or something happened on the way to moonstone? The same questions ran through her mind the reasult getting worse each time. |

Icestar finally gave up on waiting and sighed. "I think I am going to have a rest," she mewed throughtfuly, her mind not on what she was saying. Turning to Dreamleaf, she asked, "Is that okay? Or do you need my help?"

Dreamleaf shook her head. "No you go rest. I think I'm going to go back to my den see you at the clan meeting!" She mewed as she walked out of the den bowing her head respefully.
