Echostar padded along the border to Thunderclan. Her claws dug into the ground as she neared the border. She stopped for a moment to make fresh markers before padding on. After a while she came to a spot where she could smell a strong scent of Thunderclan. A soft hiss escaped her as she spotted freshkill with Thunderclan scent all over it. She picked it up and headed back to camp. She needed to talk to Duskstone. She wanted his ideas on what they should do about the discovery.

Birchpaw ran up to his leader, seeing what she had in her mouth. "What's that?" he asked casualy, then stopped abruptly when he smelled the scent on it. "ThunderClan," he hissed, staring up at his leader for her reaction.

ic: Duskstone looked up when he seen Echostar and a apprentice. He opened his mouth when suddenly Thunderclan scent overwhelmed him! His face turned into a snarl as he realised they must have been stealing from Shadowclan! "Echostar what are we going to do about this?"He asked his leader. |

({Thanks  }) Echostar set the squirrel down "I found it on our side of the border. The scent was fresh they must have seen me coming and left forgetting to take it with them. Duskstone I want to put extra patrols around that border. Thunderclan will not get away with this. If this happens again we will show them how they like having prey stolling from them." |

Duskstone nodded at Echostars idea. "That's probebly a good idea."Thunderclan was not going to steal from Shadowclan especially when fresh kill was needed the most. |

OOC - Oh, that's great news!  IC - Birchpaw licked his lips. Being the cat he is, he loved all pieces of prey and loved to eat often. He probably will not be too great through the leafbare. But that didn't worry him now--he got to eat another Clan's caught prey! He stuffed his nose up to hide the scent and then bit down. The flavor washed over his tongue. Smiling, he raised his head and saw Duskstone. "Oh," he mumbled, his mouth full, "Dwo woo want swome?" |

Duskstone nodded it was getting closer to leaf bare closer to the suffering that the clans usually indured. "Ya sure I will have some." He layed down beside the apprentice and took a small bite of the squirrel his nose stung with Thunderclan scent.

Echostar pricked her ears up. She crouched down and slowly walked up to a tree a couple of tail lengths away. Her tail was low but not touching the ground. She could see a small thrush sitting on a tree route. Quick as a flash she lept at it with a flash of claws the thrush was dead to a heavy blow to it's neck. Grabbing the thrush Echostar brought the thrush over to them. "This one will go back to camp."

Duskstone nodded. He took one more bit from the prey and stood up. He began to groom himself attempting to be rid of the Thunderclan scent that had stuck around his muzzle. He grumbled silently as he groomed himself. Why does Thunderclan have to have this scent?He asked himself. |

Birchpaw watched his elader attentively after taking a second bite. He observed how she hunted very closely. "Nice catch," he mewed with a flick of his tail when Echostar brought down the thrush. He bent down and saw that Duskstone had finished eating. With a excited flick of his tail, he dug down in.

Echostar sniffed the pray thunderclan had taken down and shook her head. "I really hate the scent they leave. They say where terrible cat's but there the one breaking the code and stealing our pray not the other way around" she hissed. "Birchpaw you need a full time mentor. It's time I assigned you one instead of taking turns training you with me and Duskstone."

Duskstone nodded not that he minded training Birchpaw it was something that kept him busy. Who would be the young cats mentor? He nodded to what Echostar said the scent they left behind was horrible and hard to be rid of to! "Your right it doesn't smell very nice does it?"He said wrinkiling his nose up in disgust. |

Birchpaw hadn't noticed the way the squirrel scented; food was food. He now tooka sniff. "Yuck!" He shook his head and stared at the piece of prey in disgust. After a moment, he shook it off and took abother bite. This time, it had a odd tang to it, which the tom guessed was because of ThunderClan's scent. At the sound of his name, the apprentice looked up. "But you guys are great," he whined, not wanting to get a different mentor.
